Cam Howard has been playing and painting Warhammer 40,000 competitively for 3 years, following the standard post-adolescence break and Covid Revival. A deep lover of color theory and pushing the boundaries on design depth, bringing texture and colors together to create a strikingly realistic product, whether it could ACTUALLY be real. With an informed sci-fi and fantasy reading background, he can suggest and understand the reference and aesthetic that you’re looking to achieve with your miniature or army.

Tyler “Hojtastic” - @hojtastic_miniatures - Painting - Scuplting - Kitbashing
Specialty - Weathering and high-detail painting
Paint style - versatile, specializing in Grimdark and weathering but able to paint in other styles, such as a more traditional "box art."
Tyler "Hojtastic" (hoj as in intentional misspelling of "hodge-podge") has been surrounded by art since childhood and was the kid doodling in the margins of all of his schoolwork and continued to pursue art in further education. In the now-ancient year of 2003 Tyler first took paintbrush to plastic model..and the rest is history. Over the years he has developed a distinct style blending gritty texture with freehand detailing along with a penchant for kit bashing and sculpting. He has an eye for detail and the brush control to make it happen.

Favorite Paint Brand - I used to use too much Citadel just out of convenience. I've started using other brands and I'm really liking AK-Interactive.
Favorite Hobby Tool - A paintbrush is a tool, yeah? I don't throw them away until they literally break, I find a weird specific use for all of them.
Favorite Non-Hobby Hobby product - The takeout container I turned into a wet palette. Also tiny jewelry chains. Oh and old toothbrushes. And any bit of junk and foam I can turn into Necromunda terrain.
Favorite Model that I’ve painted - I can't pick one of my children. I like saying the words "Boomdakka Snazzwagon" so I'll say that one.
Favorite Miniature Game - Necromunda, no contest.
First Army - 3rd ed Necrons, I liked the robot skeletons and their Death Incarnate god.
Why Painting Artisanal Army men? - I like taking flat grey misshapen blobs and putting color on them to bring them to life and getting excited with other people who, for some reason, decided to do the same.
Favorite Video Game - Doom 2016 for the atmosphere and GOATed soundtrack, I think this game actually influenced how I ended up evolving my painting style.
